CMC's Emerging Businesses Group is searching for a Creative Director! 

The Creative Director leads the internal creative team to develop brand-aligned, high-quality, and strategic marketing materials and campaigns. Acting as the brand guardian, the Creative Director will be responsible for mentoring a creative team while collaborating with internal business partners to deliver, execute, and approve creative work across all media. They are responsible for optimizing workflows, managing budgets, and aligning creative output with company goals. 

What You'll Do

  • Develop and implement creative content strategies and campaigns that align with company goals, ensuring all output meets high standards of quality, branding, and consistency to move at the speed of the business
  • Set measurable objectives and KPIs for creative work that link to brand health, demand outcomes and business metrics
  • Translate customer and market insight into creative direction and narratives that influence target audiences and support product and GTM strategies
  • Lead storytelling, persuasion and concept development for campaigns, turning strategy into compelling creative that supports business objective
  • Identify the needs of the business and build a team and the processes required to support that lead, inspire, and manage a team of creative professionals
  • Lead, inspire, and manage a team of creative professionals
  • Build and coach creative talent
  • Manage external creative resources and agency relationships
  • Act as the primary brand guardian, ensuring all creative materials (digital, print, video, social) are on-brand
  • Oversee creative production and asset quality, including governance for brand standards, content strategy and AI/GenAI usage to protect voice, compliance and ethical oversight
  • Own and shape the brand’s creative vision and ensure consistent brand positioning and voice across channels and touchpoints
  • Prioritize work and define clear action steps, ownership and timelines for creative initiatives so recommendations translate into executed outcomes
  • Guide cross‑functional collaboration with marketing strategy, product, digital, martech and sales to ensure creative work is aligned with enterprise priorities and GTM orchestration
  • Manage multiple priority projects simultaneously, keeping quality of output and internal client expectations in the forefront

What You'll Need

  • 8+ years of experience managing a corporate creative function
  • Proven experience in a creative director role, ideally within an internal marketing team or ad agency
  • Strong portfolio showcasing creative campaigns, branding, and multimedia, leaning heavily on digital
  • Ability to manage the process while also rolling up your sleeves and diving into the work
  • Strong ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse team of creatives
  • Deep understanding of design, copywriting, and digital marketing technologies
  • Proficient in tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and ability to do the work while also directing the wor
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders and present ideas
  • Ability to connect creative concepts to business strategy and ROI

Your Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Design, Advertising, or related field
