Why This Job

Support our structures from the ground up! Promote the business development of Tensar Roadways solutions with large public agencies like DOTs and Toll Authorities. Collaborate with DOT personnel and strategic contractors to develop a path to market for Tensar proprietary solutions.  

What You'll Do

  • Utilize and develop new and existing relationships with road building contractors
  • Assist and support the qualification of Tesnar proprietary systems by successfully implementing bid strategies to close business
  • Compile best practices used in US DOTs and coordinate required documentation and performance validation
  • Educate and promote alternate bid strategies incorporating proprietary Tensar solutions
  • Strategize and execute plans to develop an approval path to introduce Tensar solutions to assigned large agency public roads markets
  • Participate in industry organizations, trade shows and other events
  • Responsible for generating sales leads, managing and tracking key projects and communicating project status via monthly reports
  • Develop & execute a business development plan focused on State Highway Agencies, Mass Transit Authorities, major municipalities, and the Corps of Engineers

What You'll Need

  • Minimum 3 years experience in the public roads construction industry
  • Minimum 5 years in an Outside Sales role
  • Exceptional interpersonal, research, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (both written and verbal) required
  • Strong negotiation and contracting skills
  • Ability to travel regionally between 25% to 50% of the time
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and drive issues, tasks and deliverables from concept to closure

Your Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience preferred
