What You'll Do
- Review construction plans, drawings, and specifications to prepare detailed estimates.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and calculations to ensure accurate material, labor, and equipment costs.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and operations teams to verify feasibility, pricing, and delivery timelines.
- Prepare quotes, submittals, and bid documentation in accordance with company standards.
- Maintain organized records of all estimates, quotes, and historical cost data.
- Communicate effectively with the sales team to clarify project requirements and provide technical support.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency in project proposals.
- Track and report on project bid status and opportunities to the Estimating Manager.
- Support continuous improvement of estimating processes and procedures.
What You'll Need
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to read, interpret, and understand construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP, CRM, and estimating software preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Team-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- 1-3 years of estimating experience in construction, precast, or manufacturing industries.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
Your Education
- High school diploma or GED required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.
