What You'll Do

Determine efficient and safe routing methods of transportation
Manage scheduling of shipments and notify departments or customers of arrival/pickup dates
Communicate with truck drivers through computer software, cell phones or two way radios
Answer inbound calls from customers for dispatching and to obtain trucking rates for incoming/outgoing shipments
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing additional duties as needed
Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
Provide feedback by answering questions and requests
Meet operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees
Regularly participate in interdepartmental communication and teamwork

What You'll Need

Prior DOT and disptaching experience preferred
SAP system experience preferred
Basic computer skills such as familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required
Exceptional customer service skills required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
Self-Motivated
Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced multi-discipline environment, with strong work ethic, attention to detail, organizational and listening skills
Good math, verbal, mechanical and analytical skills

Your Education

High School Diploma or GED required
