What You'll Do

  • Determine efficient and safe routing methods of transportation
  • Manage scheduling of shipments and notify departments or customers of arrival/pickup dates
  • Communicate with truck drivers through computer software, cell phones or two way radios
  • Answer inbound calls from customers for dispatching and to obtain trucking rates for incoming/outgoing shipments
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing additional duties as needed
  • Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
  • Provide feedback by answering questions and requests
  • Meet operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees
  • Regularly participate in interdepartmental communication and teamwork

What You'll Need

  • Prior DOT and disptaching experience preferred
  • SAP system experience preferred
  • Basic computer skills such as familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required
  • Exceptional customer service skills required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Self-Motivated
  • Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced multi-discipline environment, with strong work ethic, attention to detail, organizational and listening skills
  • Good math, verbal, mechanical and analytical skills

Your Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required
