Don't just deliver our product, deliver an experience as our next Outside Sales Manager in the Gulf Region! Manage the commercial side of the business by providing leadership and direction for the sales team while maintain existing relationships and trying to build new relationships to gain market share.  This person will assist and coordinate with the appropriate team members to successfully submit bid proposals and to negotiate fair contracts with clients

What You'll Do

  • Identify accurate estimates of rebar material, equipment, and labor for a project
  • Evaluate complex project requirements and suggest potential value engineering ideas
  • Submit complete proposals to clients in a timely manner which meets both the company and clients requirements
  • Follow up with clients to ensure our proposals meet their expectations while attempting to gather the necessary information to submit the final proposal
  • Successfully negotiate contracts
  • Develop and execute the commercial strategy for the Area
  • Effectively work with other CMC functions to ensure outstanding customer service
  • Ensure a smooth transition of projects to team members
  • Ability to lead and motivate the sales team and drive accountability and engagement
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing additional duties as needed

What You'll Need

  • 1 or more years of sales experience required; with previous knowledge in Construction industry a plus
  • Experience with Commercial, Retail, Heavy Civil & Bridge projects
  • General knowledge of estimating, detailing and project management
  • Fundamental level knowledge of Category Management, Cost & Price Management, Financial Analysis, Legal, Negotiation & Project Management preferred
  • Coordinate and assist with customer accounts by scheduling material and deliveries, along with conducting any research of field problems, detailing, fabrication, and/or changes to scope of work
  • Ability to read blueprints and contracts
  • Proficient at gathering market data along with negotiating, closing, and follow-up of sales orders while multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
  • Act as a liaison between customer and internal departments including sales, detailing, operations, superintendents, shop, etc.
  • Customer Service focused and collaborative as appropriate with internal and external contacts with broad knowledge of marketing and sales practices
  • Strong negotiating skills when making sales decisions
  • Initiative and drive in pursuing customers and building long term working relationships
  • Ability to lead and motivate the sales team and drive accountability and engagement
  • Support field sales efforts as necessary
  • Proficient in computer skills such as Microsoft word, excel, power point, and adobe. Salesforce a plus.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%

Your Education

  • Bachelor's degree in one of the following area: Construction Management, Structural Engineering, Business Administration and/or minimum 5 years in the reinforcing steel/construction industry
