What You'll Do
- Lead all department personnel in a professional manner toward achieving company performance goals with emphasis on safety, quality, and meeting all company standards
- Leading effective crew meetings at start of shift. Include any safety, quality or production communications applicable.
- Assign daily work assignments to maximize operations
- Enter inventory control data into SAP
- Coordinate the loading of trucks and railcars
- Communicate with truck drivers through computer software, cell phones or two way radios
- Work with managers and employees to identify root cause of customer complaints and implement corrective actions
- Perform performance evaluations, create individual development plans and assign tasks to the most appropriate team members
- Assist in performing inventory on materials
- Participate in CMC Safety culture and training on a regular basis.
What You'll Need
- 3 years experience with inventory control in warehouse or manufacturing environment
- Strong customer facing skills with ability to build effective relationships across the business required
- High integrity and confidentiality required
- Develop good teamwork relations within the crew, crew to crew, with our internal customers, and with Maintenance and Operations
- Ability to properly use scanner equipment to scan material into inventory and onto shipments
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders and steps, work outside under all weather conditions when needed
- Proficient in MS Office programs – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and a quick learner of specialized business systems (SAP).
Your Education
- High School Diploma or GED required
