What You'll Do

Manage, communicate and coordinate with drivers on a daily basis
Driver recruitment/onboarding/disciplinary actions
Conduct driver safety meetings
Supervise/manage Fleet Dispatcher, Mechanic(s) and local Area Dispatcher(s)
Monitor drivers ELOGS and manage as needed
Oversee/manage drivers DOT files through safety and compliance
Utilize knowledge to ensure all drivers are in compliance
Standardization of driver/truck settings for line of business and appropriate DOT#
Lease agreement, cab book, insurance, permits and other paperwork
Monitor and manage driver’s time utilization, mechanical issues and hours worked
Maintain DOT compliance and ensure all required equipment is available
Order/install new ELD’s & troubleshooting of systems
Monitor trailer tracking and associated devices (Asset ID)
Coordinate removal and cancellation of devices taken out of service
Management of hardware/software updates
Monitor/coach Drive Cam events
Verify drivers fuel receipts
Oversight of drivers monthly safety program bonus
Coordination with mill and Sales personnel
Other responsibilities as required

What You'll Need

DOT Manual compliance and regulations knowledge
Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to learn ELD and Lytx software
ELD and Drive cam experience preferred
SAP & TMW knowledge preferred
3+ years’ experience in Logistics role
Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities daily
Excellent follow up, research and investigational skills
Accuracy and accountability are essential
Strong organization and people skills are required
Ability to change priorities quickly, work effectively under time constraints, contribute to the team effort and see the big picture
Ability to adapt quickly to fluid transportation circumstances
