What You'll Do
- Participates in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively upholds the CMC Safety Culture
- Perform all facets of the repair safely while utilizing hand tools, power tools and precision tools at different heights or adverse conditions
- Purchase supplies and parts for repair, track purchase requisitions when necessary
- Attend extensive training regarding applicable equipment
- Maintain good general housekeeping, keeping clean equipment and work area. Keep all tools in good working condition
- Perform predictive/preventive/corrective maintenance, utilize computer systems and programs for documentation of maintenance/safety activities; perform time entry, enter notifications and work orders, enter corrective actions/comments
- Repair and maintain shop machinery and mechanical equipment including overhead cranes, shears, benders, threaders, forges, induction heaters, and welders
- Work with other Technicians on job orders and troubleshooting
- Install, monitor, inspect, troubleshoot, and ensure reliability of all electrical, electronic control systems and components, process equipment, and AC/DC utilities
- Learn and maintain the variety of electromechanical starters and motors using sophisticated electronic interface boards, VFDs, PLCs, HMIs, instrumentation, and controllers
What You'll Need
- Both mechanically and electrically inclined with experience working in both areas
- Experience servicing and repairing industrial equipment
- Possess specific knowledge of hydraulics
- Possess proficient skills utilizing hand tools, power tools and precision tools for performing all facets of the repair and maintenance process
- Able to work overtime as business requires
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders and steps, work outside under all weather conditions when needed
- Minimum 2 years' experience in industrial automation or related field
- Competent in the use of hand tools as well as electrical and electronic test equipment
- Experience with Electrical relay control maintenance and repair proficiency, especially for cranes
- Experience with industrial electrical repairs including troubleshooting and repair of A/C - D/C drives and motors, PLC's and 480 Volt 3 phase electrical
- Must be able to read technical documents and manuals and write job instructional training documents
Your Education
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is required
