Our Steel Micro Mill in Durant, OK melted and rolled our first heat in December of 2017. We connect the two main steps in rebar production - melting recycled scrap into molten steel and forming that steel into a finished product in a single uninterrupted strand. We also use energy more efficiently than the mini mill and our technology allows us to cast steel faster and to run continuously.

What You'll Do

Work with leadership on ways to improve & sustain processes
Identify, evaluate, and recommend cost saving opportunities by identifying process, quality and safety related improvement projects
Presentation/Report on an improvement project at the end of internship
Ability to troubleshoot work related problems using job knowledge, experience, and by communicating with others
Participate in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively uphold the CMC Safety Culture

What You'll Need

Excellent quantitative and analytical skills with an aptitude of problem solving
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to work in teams and to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization
Able to work independently, take initiative and drive for results with minimal supervision
Must be at least 18 years old
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing/shifting priorities and new demands
