Our Mill Support Operators are dedicated to safely loading trucks and shipping product to various locations across the United States! In this fast-paced environment you will receive cross-training to grow your skills and career here at CMC.
What You'll Do
- Ensure equipment inspection reports are filled out each shift
- Responsible for daily housekeeping duties including but not limited to immediate work area
- Participate in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively uphold the CMC Safety Culture
- Operate mobile equipment to lift and transport materials, including loaders, cranes (includes rigging principles), man-lifts, brick-lift, and forklifts
- Guide, position, and land bundles; procure and place dunnage; place items according to width, length, size, etc, to best secure loads and utilize space; load material onto a specified car, trailer, or truck
- Communicate and coordinate with crew members to sustain a quality finished product that meets or exceeds customer expectations and is sustained within specifications
- Execute standard operating procedures when loading trucks and railcars
What You'll Need
- Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment, with excellent strong work ethic, attention to detail, and organizational skills
- Dependability in attendance, work completion, and flexibility to meet business needs
- Must be able to learn quickly and multitask
- Work on a rotating shift which may include weekends and holidays
- Must be customer service driven
- Strong communication skills required. Must read, speak and understand English language in verbal and written communication
Your Education
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
