What You'll Do
- Ensure good quality control
- Maintain an accurate inventory with no losses due to fraud, poor quality control, poor operational or accounting practices
- Perform ISO quality control program data entry and document correctives
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including quality control, engineering and production, to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrate safe work practices and behaviors. Regularly inspect for, report, and correct unsafe or hazardous conditions. Actively participate in the site Safety Program
- Effectively monitor and inspect equipment for defects
- Final order inspection of all outgoing product
- Inspect bar products for surface and dimensional imperfections
- Inspect outgoing material for accuracy
- Perform inspections of completed work for correct quantity, accurate fabrication, correctly tagged material, and scheduled delivery times
- Assist with day-to-day inventory questions and processes from shops
- Assist with internal inventory accuracy measures
- Compile and issue inventory reports to management
- Coordinate with production to ensure inventory availability
- Ensure inventory compliance and address questions or discrepancies
- Enter inventory control data into SAP
- Manage and report accurate inventory reporting
What You'll Need
- Must be able to work outside under all weather conditions to include working in the heat and cold weather
- Able and willing to cross train as required
- Follow OSHA, EPA, and company safety policies, rules, and regulations
- Possess a strong work ethic and practice safe working habits
- Ability to work as a team player in a fast paced environment, with strong work ethic, pay attention to detail and find root causes for issues
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Able to work overtime as business requires
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders and steps, work outside under all weather conditions when needed
- Must be able to read technical documents and service manuals
- Must be able to write job instructional training documents
- Excellent communication skills, in both written and verbal form are necessary to be successful in this role
- Must be able to work overtime, either planned or unplanned for emergency situations
- Must possess work ethic and ability to be punctual
- Previous experience in Quality Control preferred
- Basic to intermediate computer skills including MS Word, Kronos and SAP
- Preferred experience with the Rebar Fabrication processes
Your Education
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred
