What You'll Do

  • Lead and supervise daily operations including trucking, shipping, and receiving
  • Ensure a safe work environment for all employees and customers, adhering to safety policies and procedures.
  • Supervise dispatch and ensure that cutoff times are being implemented and accountability for pulling errors are being addressed
  • Work closely with the Dispatcher and Distribution Supervisor to ensure orders are being staged correctly and paperwork matches
  • Ensure that routes are being optimized to save time, fuel and costs
  • Track performance metrics such as on-time delivery rate and error reduction ensuring accountability
  • Develop and implement efficient operational strategies to drive productivity and reduce costs
  • Maintain branch inventory, minimizing loss due to fraud, quality issues, or miscounts.
  • Collaborate with the Area Operations Manager to develop forecasts, budgets, and business plans.
  • Supervise the work of employees and provide feedback and counsel to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Resolve customer and employee issues promptly and professionally
  • Support sales objectives by ensuring timely and accurate product delivery and service execution.
  • Maintain facility cleanliness, equipment condition, and regulatory compliance
  • Participate in community engagement networking to enhance the company's reputation.

What You'll Need

  • 3-5 years of management experience, preferably in construction services, logistics, or manufacturing.
  • Proven leadership skills with a results-driven and collaborative mindset
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams
  • Knowledge of transportation, logistics, material handling, and equipment maintenance.
  • Strong financial acument and experience managing departmental budgets and labor costs.
  • Comfortable working flexible hours, including weekends when necessary.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform duties in varying environmental conditions.

Your Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in operations, logistics, business, or related field.
  • High School Diploma or GED required
