Why This Job

Brace the concrete that forms the largest structures as a Tilt Up Engineer by reviewing and checking engineering lifting/bracing details and panel construction shop drawings for accuracy and completeness. This role will perform lifting and bracing engineering design while interfacing with customers and salesmen to coordinate project priorities and schedules. 

What You'll Do

  • Review, check and correct shop drawings to include occasionally performing tilt up, lifting, and bracing engineering design
  • Calculate bracing loads and capacity of walls, floors, and dead men to resist them
  • Calculate reinforced concrete capacity to resist applied stresses from erection of tilt-up panels
  • Establish and maintain standard procedures for shop drawings details
  • Perform miscellaneous engineering functions as the need arises

What You'll Need

  • Must be able to read Architectural and Structural Drawings/Specifications
  • Basic computer skills, proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Proficient with AutoCAD 2016 or later
  • Knowledge and experience utilizing today's design and project management tools including AutoCAD and Microsoft project
  • Critical thinking, strong analytical and problem solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills required. Must read, speak and understand English language in verbal and written communication.
  • Demonstrates dependability in work completion and flexibility in schedule to meet business needs.

Your Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
  • Certificate of Engineering in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) Preferred
