What You'll Do
- Ability to work under the guidelines of CMC's core values and safety standards
- Actively participate and assist in leading team with CMC Safety Programs and proactively uphold the CMC Safety Culture (Take 2, Observation Cards and Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
- Day to day leadership and management of the maintenance team (Including knowledge and safety training).
- Oversee the usage, maintenance, and repair scheduling for warehouse equipment, including forklifts, trucks, and fabrication machines
- Coordinate and supervise material receiving, documentation, storage, inventory control, disbursement and off-site shipping activities
- Assists Operations Manager in maintaining an accurate inventory with no losses due to fraud, poor quality control, poor operational or accounting practices
- Direct inbound and outbound logistics, including vendor delivery coordination and finished goods shipping
- Manage dispatch operations to ensure timely and accurate deliveries that support production and customer timelines
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and business leadership
- Build, coach, and lead a high-performing warehouse team with clear roles, responsibilities, and accountability
- Monitor crew attendance via Kronos
- Approve schedules, monitor labor costs, and ensure staffing levels are aligned with operational needs
- Other duties as assigned in general support of the organization
What You'll Need
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a leadership role within a steel manufacturing environment
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience required
- Frequent standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, handling, climbing.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work in uncontrolled climate environment and in the elements
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to follow directions and work in a team environment with minimal supervision
- Customer service focused and collaborative as appropriate with internal and external customers
- Ability to work flexible hours and be available as needed by the business
Your Education
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field preferred is a plus.
