What You'll Do
- Lead, train and coach team members in the receiving department on safety, efficiency and housekeeping standards
- Work closely with the Dispatcher and Material Handling Supervisor to ensure orders are being staged correctly and paperwork matches
- Supervise dispatch and ensure that cutoff times are being implemented and accountability for pulling errors are being addressed
- Ensure that routes are being optimized to save time, fuel and costs
- Maintain a pre-load schedule for next day deliveries
- Work closely with operations to ensure smooth order flow
- Track performance metrics such as on-time delivery rate and error reduction ensuring accountability
- Implement a real time dispatch schedule to share with operations as to what is scheduled for the current day/week
- Supervise the unloading, inspection and documentation of all inbound deliveries
- Ensure that shipments are being verified against purchase orders and resolve discrepancies with vendors immediately by alerting the buyer on the PO
- Ensure tracking and maintaining non-stock items and work with the buyer to ensure we send it back within 30 days of receiving
- Implement picture taking process to upload in shared folder for record keeping and accuracy verification
- Coach, train and develop key team members on how to conduct cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory counts
- Perform other administrative and support duties as needed.
What You'll Need
- 3–5 years of experience in warehouse or manufacturing supervision
- Experience with dispatch operations and inventory control systems
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment, machinery operations, and maintenance
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety practices and OSHA regulations
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Standing, walking, and operating machinery for extended periods
- Working in hot/cold environments depending on season and facility conditions
- Proficient in Kronos or other workforce management/timekeeping software
Your Education
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is required
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in operations, logistics, business, or related field.
