What You'll Do
- Assist Treasurer in identifying and executing on optimal capital structure
- Manage and administer hedging platform and execute on hedging strategies, which include FX, commodity and interest rate exposures
- Manage global intercompany lending platform, with a focus on international subsidiaries
- Oversee global accounts receivable securitization and factoring programs
- Manage equipment leasing platform, including lease vs. buy analysis
- Oversee debt and financial compliance reporting (e.g. FATCA, KYC, AML, Dodd Frank)
- Work with Treasurer to accurately forecast and optimize global cash position
- Perform regular financial and economic analyses (e.g. ROIC, capital structure optimization, WACC)
- Assist in developing and executing capital markets and liquidity strategies
- Prepare presentation materials for the board of directors and senior executives
- Assist in managing relationship and communication with rating agencies, including developing presentation materials
- Oversee the negotiation of relevant agreements including ISDAs, loans, debt, and equipment finance
- Work closely with operations on various projects
- Manage relevant external relationships, interfacing with banks and other parties as appropriate
- Work with Treasury team to develop and execute on optimal risk retention and risk financing strategies to optimize CMC’s global insurance program
- Provide strategic guidance to Risk Management department
- Act as back-up to cash management/operations team
- Support Treasurer on various other initiatives and ad hoc projects
What You'll Need
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in treasury, banking, or another related field
- Experience with pension/institutional investments and modern portfolio theory a plus
- Strong financial acumen and existing skill sets, including modeling
- Strong familiarity with the concept of relationship bank group management and effective wallet allocation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing/shifting priorities and new demands
- Motivated self-starter with good judgment and the ability to effectively interface with all levels within the company including C-Suite executives
- Ability to pay close attention to detail required
- Extensive knowledge of debt capital markets, syndicated loans, equipment finance, and fixed income securities
- Proficient with MS Office suite, including advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; familiarity with financial software a plus (e.g. Bloomberg)
- Ability to read, comprehend, and negotiate legal documents
- Working knowledge of hedging concepts and derivative instruments, familiarity with hedge accounting a plus
- Experience with ERPs, particularly SAP a plus
Your Education
- MBA and/or CTP a plus but not required
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or another related field
