What You'll Do
- Serve as the primary relationship manager for strategic General Contractor customers involved in major construction projects across the U.S
- Coordinate internal resources across divisions and business lines to deliver seamless, high-quality customer experience
- Leads multi-thread engagement across the customers organizations and includes executive-level stakeholders from CMC
- Identify and pursue high-value project opportunities aligned with CMC’s strategic goals and Ideal Project Profiling (IPP), focusing on margin aligned opportunities, as opposed to volume hunting
- Promote cross-sell and up-sell initiatives across CMC’s full product and solution portfolio
- Understand and articulate the value proposition of CMC’s offerings without requiring deep technical product expertise
- Shares client insights, market trends, and competitive intelligence with business leaders across the enterprise
- Use Salesforce to manage customer interactions, update projects, and assign actions across internal teams
- Maintain accurate customer information and ensure all communications and activities are logged
- Lead regular project review meetings with leadership to assess construction progress and resolve field challenges
- Conduct periodic business reviews to understand client strategy, pipeline, and where CMC can align to bring value and differentiation as a true partner
- Monitor client engagement levels and satisfaction and implement strategies to deepen relationships and improve account traction and future project collaboration
- Serve as a remote contributor, supporting fabrication operations and enterprise initiatives
- Travel extensively to fabrication sites and partner locations to oversee project execution and ensure alignment with corporate goals
What You'll Need
- Proven experience in strategic sales, key account management, or business development within the building products or construction industry
- Demonstrated success managing large enterprise accounts across multiple business units
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to present to executives and cross-functional teams
- Experience navigating complex decision-making environments and understanding large project milestones
- Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM platforms
- Ability to travel up to 80%
Your Education
- B.S./B.A. degree in related discipline or management-related field from an accredited university required
- Masters in business administration or marketing or sales with accompanying experience, from an accredited university preferred
