What You'll Do
- Oversee all collections activities for the Rebar Fab division, utilizing SAP, HighRadius, and other AR automation tools to streamline workflows, prioritize accounts, and enhance reporting accuracy
- Direct and coach staff in executing automated and manual collection strategies, ensuring compliance with state statute requirements for construction projects
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of notices, lien documents, and related correspondence to protect CMC’s financial position
- Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders (customers, owners, general contractors, subcontractors) to resolve issues and accelerate cash flow for Rebar Fab projects
- Lead monthly and quarterly “Over 60 Days” reviews to Rebar Fab business, Shared Services, and Corporate Leadership
- Apply expertise in construction lien, bond, and project related collections to guide team actions and resolve complex or escalated matters
- Analyze aged receivables using automated aging tools and digital worklists to determine appropriate follow up actions
- Maintain strong communication with internal and external customers, using negotiation skills, research tools, and automated communication platforms to resolve disputes and strengthen relationships
- Identify opportunities to enhance AR processes through automation, workflow optimization, and improved system utilization (HighRadius, SAP, dashboards, analytics)
What You'll Need
- 5–10 years of collections experience, including supervisory responsibilities
- Advanced Excel Skills
- SAP and HighRadius experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across all organizational levels
- Highly organized, able to multitask, set priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast paced, technology enabled environment
- Professional and courteous communication style with internal sales teams and external customers
- Strong attention to detail and research capabilities using digital tools, online resources, and automated reporting systems
- Ability to negotiate and develop alternative solutions to achieve successful collection outcomes
- Comfort working with AR automation platforms, dashboards, and data driven insights to improve performance and decision making
Your Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting a plus
