Why This Job

The Director is responsible for delivering excellent customer service to CMC’s internal team and managing the delivery of cost effective, quality technical solutions and services to a global customer employee base across all business units.

 

Lead a global team with responsibility for infrastructure (Network, Firewall, Telcom, Server, Storage, Backup, Directory Services, Office365, and Client) architecture and engineering.

 

Evaluate, replace, and enhance current processes, procedures and methodologies as needed to provide a consistent level of system security and availability.  Responsible for budgeting and actuals reporting for their organization.

 

What You'll Do

  • Manage the professional development and contribution of IT staff through effective hiring, mentoring, training, performance management and retention programs
  • Develop staffing plans and drive appropriate use of outsourced services
  • Manages a team of managers, architects, and engineers to develop strategy and technology roadmaps for all Client, Network, Telecom, Server and Storage technologies
  • Manage other services to include Directory Services, Office365, OKTA, SAP, Firewalls, Automation
  • Ensures security standards are created and implemented across all infrastructure technology platforms
  • Translate business requirements into technology or process designs
  • Plan and recommend hardware, software and architecture to support the delivery of services
  • Approve designs for architecture to ensure compliance with industry best practices
  • Evaluates and recommends new products, maintains knowledge of emerging technologies for application to the enterprise
  • Ensures monitoring of system performance and capacity planning including proactively making recommendations for improvement
  • Plans and manages the integration of new technologies with goal of improving performance and/or reducing operating expense
  • Collaborate with Director of IT Operations to ensure systems are monitored and maintained with SMART processes
  • Collaborate with Director of Information Security on future strategic roadmaps
  • Collaborate with other teams to improve system monitoring and automation
  • Provides management with performance tracking reports and trending of systems
  • Own all IT infrastructure, telecom and Information Technology cost centers
  • Cost center management includes budget planning, forecasting, and verifying of actuals
  • Contributes to the effectiveness of internal controls
  • Champion an inclusive and diverse working environment

What You'll Need

  • Minimum 10 years IT experience preferably in Infrastructure, Operations and Controls
  • Minimum 7 years in device and deployment engineering
  • Minimum 5 years experience managing ITSM processes
  • Minimum 5 years experience managing technologies and deployment teams
  • Minimum 5 years experience with budgeting, expense management, and contract management
  • Experience developing and maintaining policies, procedures, standards and guidelines
  • Experience in developing and documenting security architecture and plans, including strategic, tactical and project plans
  • Strong customer service skills and leadership skills including the ability to interact with personnel, build strong relationships at all levels and understand business imperatives
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate up, down, and across the business
  • Proficiency in performing risk, business impact, control and vulnerability assessments, and in defining treatment strategies
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and drive issues, tasks and deliverables from concept to closure
  • Ability to travel as required, including International travel
  • Ability to work in a global, multi-site, and cross functional organization
  • Ability to develop and sustain collaborative relationships throughout the organization
  • Proactive nature and ability to remain calm in crisis situations

Your Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field; or equivalent experience required.
