What You'll Do

  • Primary responsibility of this role is to review, draft and negotiate contracts by collaborating with key stakeholders, establishing and maintaining relationships with internal customers, managing and mitigating the risks inherent in contract documents
  • Maintain integrity and control of supplier-facing contracts, while ensuring terms and deal structures meet legal and business requirements
  • Assist with Creating, and updating contract templates and internal contract lifecycle management guidelines
  • Manage the procurement contract lifecycle management (CLM) process to include but not limited to contract repository, and provide associated reporting.
  • Lead a contract terms and conditions analysis to include the development of mitigation strategies for potential risks involved
  • Maintain close interaction with Supply Chain, Procurement, IT, and other cross-functional business teams to understand full scope of internal needs and vendor/supplier/contractor services and to provide SME escalation support.
  • Develop and implement IT contract performance measurements to ensure supplier compliance and accurately assess their performance
  • Develop and implement a Contract Lifecycle Management process.
  • Manage the flow of contract documents, reviews and revisions to produce the required deliverables, including contract drafts and finalized agreements, risk mitigation plans, and performance metrics and KPI’s.
  • Complete high volumes of tasks and projects quickly with little guidance, react with appropriate urgency to situations and events that require a quick response or turnaround
  • Customer-service oriented, with great attention to detail while meeting tight deadlines, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to easily multi-task
  • A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information and professionalism in dealing with senior professionals inside and outside the company is essential.
  • Lead effective team collaboration and productivity and support individual performance through staff development
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, encouraging the growth and development of team members.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to the contracting team.
  • Coordinate team activities and ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

What You'll Need

  • 5-8 years of experience in leading contract negotiations, analysis, evaluation, and collaboration with Corporate Legal, IT, Operations, and Management teams.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of risk management, industry & market trends, contracting principles, and contract types for Buy-Side products and services contracts.
  • Possess a strong understanding of IT contracts, including the development and implementation of performance measurements and metrics to evaluate and ensure the effectiveness and compliance of IT suppliers.
  • Understanding of compliance regulations, including those related to IT and cybersecurity, to ensure procurement activities adhere to relevant laws, policies, and industry standards.
  • Experience in manufacturing & construction industry, working with Engineering, IT, and Legal Teams on contracting activities.
  • Experience working with contract management software such as Coupa CLMA
  • In-depth knowledge of the Source to Pay (S2P) process, including sourcing, procurement, and payment activities
  • Comprehensive understanding of vendor management, including performance evaluation, relationship maintenance, and, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and quality standards.
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal guidance on core tasks.
  • Excellent organizational, planning and follow-through skills.
  • Must be a self-starter; flexible, customer-focused, and have a professional demeanor
  • Must be highly skilled in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems (SAP or similar).
  • Strong analytical, research, and organizational skills required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required
  • Proven experience in leading and managing teams within a corporate environment, preferably in Supply Chain, Procurement, or Operations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve their best performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle conflict resolution, provide constructive feedback, and foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Supply Chain, Law, Finance, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or Paralegal studies.
  • 8+ years of experience in Contract Administration, Supply Chain, or IT Procurement
  • Contract Management Certification preferred such as CPCM, CCCM, CCM Practitioner, CCM or ability to achieve in 12 months
