What You'll Do

Formulate expediting policies
Prepare procedures for expediting and inspection
Evaluate quoted deliveries from recommended supplier(s)
Prepare expediting visit register for supplier facility site visits
Site visits of vendor facilities to check on build progress of procured equipment and materials
Expediting engineering information
Expediting of equipment and other procured materials to meet construction schedules
Co-ordinating inland freight and warehousing according to priorities and specifications
Obtain shipping documents and verify with construction schedule
Co-ordinate inspections of purchased material
Co-ordinate Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) meetings
Monitor overall quality assurance program (internal and external)
Issue weekly delivery status reports
Additional project responsibilities, as needed

What You'll Need

2+ years expediting experience preferred
Understanding of construction process and familiarity with materials and processes commonly used
Understand technical specifications of material and various equipment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High level of attention to detail
Able to stand for long periods of time
Strong and persistent negotiation skills
Strong data analytical skills with strong attention to detail
Creative thinking and problem solving abilities
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities
Working knowledge of construction schedules
Able to work in a team environment
Advanced Excel Skills
Ability to travel via air and car 50% of the time; but could go to 75% based on need

Your Education

Bachelor's degree preferred
