Why This Job

CMC seeks a Quality Supervisor to oversee quality assurance in our scrap metal recycling operations. Responsibilities include maintaining team and customer relationships, aligning quality goals with corporate standards, and supporting high-quality product delivery.

What You'll Do

Review customer claims and settlements from for accuracy, address issues, and communicate concerns with traders and yard teams.
Partner with traders and yard personnel to address quality-related inquiries and complaints.
Stay up to date and ensure compliance with industry standards, customer specifications, certifications, statutory and regulatory requirements.
Maintain and update the CMC Recycling Quality Management System (QMS).
Communicate with customers to maintain up-to-date shipment and delivery specifications.
Prepare and manage documentation for audits and certifications.

What You'll Need

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complicated concepts effectively.
Ability to create detailed reports, manuals, and presentations.
Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams.
Ability to calmly and effectively mediate conflicts in highly stressful situations.
Commitment to safety practices and operational excellence.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
Experience with SAP is a plus.
Some travel required – initially for training, less than 10% long term

Your Education

High School Diploma or GED required
Bachelor's degree preferred
