What You'll Do
  • Prepare system documentation and update operational standards and procedures
  • Conduct system design and guide off-shore support teams
  • Research and propose new operational support technologies, tools, and techniques
  • Conduct evaluations to select appropriate operational and support strategies while ensuring efficient use of operational resources
  • Stay up-to-date on new technologies and industry trends that may impact the organization and identify, recommend, and implement process improvement opportunities where applicable
  • Provide high-level technical support to the operations team, when required, during problem situations
  • With minimal supervision, the Senior Network Engineer will lead the design, optimization, and implementation activities of Networking and Telecom equipment such as Routers, Switches, IPS/ID, Data Circuits, and Load Balancers
  • Lead the development of corporate and divisional network and telecom strategy and tactical plans
  • Train and/or coach others on existing and new network and Security technologies within the environment
  • Assess and recommend designs/changes to all related Network/Security equipment and Telecom Circuits
  • Design and deploy process networks with Cisco industrial switches
  • Design Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity for key network systems
  • Maintain Network and Security Standards, Configuration Compliance, Patch management, Cert review, and Roadmap planning
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
What You'll Need
  • Minimum 5 years experience with: systems administration/design experience; managing and troubleshooting VoIP networks; Routers and Switch design and support; and in a large (>5,000 users, >2000 Nodes), global environment
  • Experience with Checkpoint Firewalls a plus
  • Knowledge and experience in a large environment, including extensive hands-on experience with data center and large remote office routing and switching
  • Prefer experience with: deploying Cisco ACI and 9300 spine/leaf switches; designing and deploying Cisco Industrial switches; and Cisco BGP routing proficiency
  • Cisco Certifications and/or ITIL Foundation Certified (or experience with ISO or CMMI) preferred
  • Active participant in related professional forums, user groups, etc
  • Experience in enterprise data center or a multi-site environment
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and work in a global, multi-site, cross functional, matrixed organization
  • Must have proven ability to be accountable, Proactive, Prescriptive, and to remain calm in crisis situations
  • Must be able to take a consultative/partner approach with clients and work with minimal supervision on difficult assignments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate up, down, and across the business
Your Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (preferred), Engineering, or a related discipline.
