What You'll Do

Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment, hand tools and personal knowledge to determine root cause
Perform equipment inspections, preventative maintenance, equipment repairs and troubleshooting equipment problems in an accurate and efficient manner
Repair maintenance items identified during inspections
Typical repairs include but are not limited to, routine maintenance and repairing components, hydraulic cylinders, hydraulic systems, mechanical systems, cooling systems, gearboxes and various types of rotating assemblies
Read, interpret, and utilize manuals, drawings, and schematics
Ability to operate fork lift and overhead crane required
Ensure area is maintained to be clean and maintain a safe working environment
Participate in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively uphold the CMC Safety Culture
Ability to adhere to CMC safety policies and procedures
Ability to work in a safety conscious industrial environment including use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
Identify and correct safety hazards, and practices and procedures
Provide support to the Respooler operations team during lunch breaks, shift changes, or when the team is short-staffed.
Assist with the operation of the Respooler as needed to maintain production flow and minimize downtime.
Utilize the SAP Maintenance Module to document maintenance activities, record corrective actions, order replacement parts, and account for time spent on tasks.
Monitor equipment performance trends, analyze maintenance data, and provide detailed reports to management regarding mechanical issues and resolutions.

What You'll Need

Strong mechanical aptitude and comfortable working in a multidiscipline environment
Technical skills: in depth understanding of machinery and maintenance techniques, ability to read blueprints and schematics.
Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment, hand tools and personal knowledge to determine root cause
Ability to operate overhead cranes and forklifts safely and effectively.
Experience with welding, cutting, fabrication and equipment maintenance preferred
Ability to stand for duration of shift; frequent physical activity such as walking, climbing stairs or reaching to work with equipment throughout the entire shift
Ability to demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills by performing multiple tasks simultaneously and effectively prioritizing work assignments
Use SAP maintenance module in the execution of duties, utilize computers to acquire information, documentation, account for time and corrective actions

Your Education

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is required
