What You'll Do

  • Initiate communication with resources external to company (suppliers and contractors) for consistency and improvement initiatives
  • Develop detailed budgets and timelines and oversee cost tracking for capital improvements
  • Evaluate project scopes and potential risk factors. Provide accurate budgeting forecasts and highlight cost-saving opportunities to mitigate financial risks.
  • CAPEX: a specific focus on managing capital expenditures, which includes evaluating potential investments in major assets, tracking their spending, and ensuring alignment with strategic business plans.
  • Analyze and prioritize requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives and feasibility within project constraints.
  • Develop construction specifications, bid packages, budget cost estimates, construction schedules, permitting, etc as required to insure completion of projects on time and within budget
  • Assemble and manage a team of engineers, operators, consultants, suppliers, and contractors to execute projects
  • Oversees project construction activities and coordinates project implementation activities with plant operating departments
  • Coordinate and expedite the resolution of issues, managing tasks and project milestones from inception to completion
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues

What You'll Need

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal
  • Highly technical, detail oriented, organized and self-starter
  • Willingness and ability to work hands-on in the shop with operators on flexible schedules
  • Experience with manufacturing or industrial-scale capital projects.
  • Minimum 5 years experience working with low and medium voltage power distribution
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical equipment, with familiarity in PLCs, automation systems, and industrial controls

Your Education

  • 4-Year ABET Accredited Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering OR 10+ years of equivalent experience required
