What You'll Do

Responsible for process stabilization and improvement in all shop areas
Focus on raw materials, electric arc furnace (EAF), ladle furnace, caster, and refractory performance
Train new employees, lead corrective actions, monitor shop parameters, and implement process changes as necessary
Work closely with the Quality department to develop new grades and enhance customer satisfaction
Collaborate with maintenance and engineering on capital projects and commissioning of new equipment
Other responsibilities assigned

What You'll Need

2+ years experience working with the Melt Shop process
Able to communicate, verbally and written, with operators, supervisors, maintenance, suppliers, management, and plant support staff
Highly technical, detail oriented, organized and self-starter
Able to work independently, take initiative and drive for results with minimal supervision
Willingness and ability to work hands-on in the shop with operators on flexible schedules

Your Education

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is required
