What You'll Do

  • Promote CMC Bridge Systems’ InQuik solution and drive new business across the assigned region
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned region, with a heavy focus on consulting engineers and other specifiers
  • Proactively generate leads through networking, cold calling, industry events, and marketing campaigns to build a pipeline of prospective customers
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at prospective specifiers, owners, agencies, and contractors
  • Accelerate specification inclusion and adoption of InQuik by delivering product education and technical presentations to engineering firms, owners, and contractors
  • Develop customized proposals and presentations that clearly deliver the InQuik value proposition
  • Develop and execute regional business development plans aligned with national sales strategy
  • Work closely with territory sales managers on prospective accounts and facilitate B2B partnerships
  • Serve as the CMC Bridge Systems marketing liaison
  • Support go-to-market strategies for potential alternate fields of use, assessing viability and commercialization based on customer feedback
  • Track and document all opportunities in CRM, including account details, call logs, and stage of opportunity
  • Share customer insights, market trends, and competitive intelligence with sales and business leaders
  • Travel frequently within the assigned region, including overnight and air travel, to support customers, specifiers, and industry events

What You'll Need

  • 5+ years of business development experience with a proven ability to generate a new book of business
  • 5+ years in the bridge, infrastructure, construction, or civil markets highly preferred
  • Excellent active listening, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to present to engineers, executives, and cross-functional teams
  • Strong relationship builder, both internally and externally, and a model team player
  • Strategic thinking and planning skills, with strong sales and negotiation tactics
  • Experience tracking and managing opportunities in Salesforce or a similar CRM platform
  • PC skills including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, as well as the ability to navigate pricing programs and customer web-based platforms
  • Ability to travel a minimum of 50%, commensurate with the assigned region

Your Education

  • B.S./B.A. degree in engineering, business, or related discipline from an accredited university preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education and business development experience in the bridge, infrastructure, or civil markets will be considered
