What You'll Do
- Develop and lead a Safety Culture that is consistent with CMC standards
- Must be able to establish operational goals, both financial and non-financial, with clear work plans, and hold management staff accountable
- Control inventory dollars and tons by meeting inventory turn standards set forth by the company
- Provides guidance and direction to staff including hiring, disciplinary action, staff development, goal formulation and performance review
- Ensures compliance with employment laws and regulations, minimizing the company’s exposure to adverse outcomes of complaints, litigation, audits and inspections
What You'll Need
- Must be able to maintain and be familiar with safety and environmental concerns
- Past successful experience in operations, marketing, sales in a metal recycling facility or other related industry a strong plus
- Shredder knowledge preferred
- Nonferrous and/or wire chopping experience preferred
- Ability to make sure all employees are trained and well prepared to carry out their daily tasks to ensure everyone's safety
- Must be able collaborative, partnering with leaders to positively motivate team to achieve success
- Must be able to control budgeted labor and overtime costs; as well as, maintain fiscal responsibility for all departments' budgets
- Great organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to multi-task
- Proficiency with computer operating systems, to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required
Your Education
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred
