What You'll Do

  • Responsible for the design, construction, commissioning, and startup activities of capital projects
  • Develops Mechanical engineering design and modification of industrial process equipment, fluid power systems, lubrication systems, and circulating water systems
  • Provides engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, and other required technical documentation
  • Performs constructability reviews and improvement analysis
  • Reviews drawings and performs field inspections
  • Provides equipment specifications and bid reviews
  • Serves as Project Manager of multi-discipline projects
  • Estimates and schedules for multidisciplinary projects
  • Oversees project construction activities and coordinates project implementation activities with plant operating departments
  • Implements mechanical design and coordination work as required
  • Demonstrates dependability in attendance, work completion, and flexibility to meet business needs
  • Makes timely and sound decisions; uses resources wisely
  • Displays a positive, can-do attitude; maintains composure when faced with difficult situations
  • Willing to learn; enjoys tackling new challenges
  • Is organized and shows attention to detail, with a ""get it right the first time"" mindset
  • Works well with team members or independently; gives and receives feedback in a constructive manner

What You'll Need

  • Experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment strongly preferred
  • Must be able to read and interpret mechanical prints and diagrams
  • Professional Engineer license considered a plus
  • SAP experience is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of computers and MS Office programs – Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint; Proficient with AutoCAD 2016 or later
  • Strong background with technical writing to be able to write documents for operations and maintenance, explaining new or modified equipment
  • Experienced with field work and understanding the customer's needs
  • Ability to work with in project scope and budget
  • Must be able to learn quickly, multitask and utilize time wisely
  • Is organized and shows attention to detail, with a ""get it right the first time"" mindset
  • Ability to work as a team player in a fast paced environment, with strong work ethic, pay attention to detail and find root causes for issues
  • Experience in the industrial manufacturing and/or process industry preferred
  • Minimum 5 plus years of industrial design and field construction experience

Your Education

  • 4-Year ABET Accredited Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required
  • Certificate of Engineering in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) Preferred
