What You'll Do

  • Monitor shop performance and processes daily for operation within established parameters
  • Investigate and recommend process, procedure, training or equipment needs to continually improve performance
  • Collaborate with maintenance and engineering on capital projects and commissioning of new equipment
  • Work with Quality Assurance Department to monitor product quality and identify and correct any deviations
  • Responsible for process stabilization and improvement in all shop areas
  • Monitor shop parameters and implement process changes as necessary.

What You'll Need

  • Expertise in raw materials, electric arc furnace (EAF), ladle furnace, caster and refractory performance.
  • Project management and equipment commissioning skills.
  • Experience implementing and maintaining lean manufacturing practices.
  • Adept at applying statistical methods to monitor and control process variability, ensuring consistent performance.
  • Adept at implementing and leading continuous improvement processes.

Your Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy, Engineering, or a related field and two years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
