What You'll Do

Ability to stand and sit for duration of shift, for a minimum of 8 hours
Focus on raw materials, electric arc furnace (EAF), ladle furnace, caster, and refractory performance
Gain knowledge about Steel Making processes through job shadowing and hands on activities
Travel to and participate in supplemental trainings and industry conferences
Collaborate with Production and Process Engineers to gather input on design elements to effectively integrate their suggestions and ideas
Able and willing to cross train as required

What You'll Need

Must be able to read and interpret mechanical prints and diagrams
Professional Engineer license considered a plus
Basic knowledge of computers and MS Office programs – Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint; Proficient with AutoCAD 2016 or later
Must be able to learn quickly, multitask and utilize time wisely
Strong background with technical writing to be able to write documents for operations and maintenance, explaining new or modified equipment
Experienced with field work and understanding the customer's needs
Meeting established target dates for projects
Ability to work with in project scope and budget

Your Education

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
