Why This Job
The Maintenance Manager is an essential role, responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations of the organization's facilities, machinery, and equipment. This role involves managing a team, ensuring that maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and safely, and planning and scheduling proactive, predictive, preventative, and corrective maintenance activities on all of the plant's equipment. The Maintenance Manager plays a critical role in minimizing equipment downtime, optimizing productivity, and maintaining a safe and compliant working environment.
What You'll Do
- Supervise, train, manage the maintenance team including setting objectives, providing daily direction and feedback to department employees
- Develop and implement a comprehensive preventative maintenance program utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for all facilities, production/support equipment
- Plan and schedule maintenance activities to minimize disruption to operations in a timely manner within the CMMS
- Conduct cross-departmental preventative maintenance meetings to ensure effectiveness and collaboration
- Work across all departments to identify opportunities for process improvements and to maximize equipment reliability/performance and minimize cost/waste
- Manage the maintenance department budget, ensuring expenditures are aligned with company objectives and financial constraints; provide support for capital projects and equipment upgrades
What You'll Need
- 5+ years in a maintenance management role, preferably in the Plastics Industry, specifically sheet extrusion, and punching and orientating extruded sheet
- 5+ years of maintenance and equipment reliability experience
- Knowledge and direct experience with Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in equipment and facility maintenance
- Ability and willingness to work outside of regular business hours for emergency repairs
Your Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or equivalent work experience required
