What You'll Do
- Day to day leadership and management of the maintenance team (Including knowledge and safety training).
- Demonstrate leadership skills and provide coaching, skills development, guidance and support to team members
- Must be hands on and willing to work alongside the maintenance team. (This is not an office job)
- Lead daily/weekly meetings to review maintenance project lists to ensure projects are getting completed timely including prioritizing based on need and importance
- Review and ensure our spare parts program is up to date and that we always have the necessary critical spares on hand (Including replenishing when things are used)
- Work with engineering and production on projects as lead for maintenance to ensure projects are completed on time and on budget
- Create and/or revise Lock Out Tag Out, Job Safety Analysis and Work Instructions related to equipment and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with team in the shop often to ensure our equipment fits our needs and communicate opportunities for improvement.
- Manage outside contractors when on site and ensure they have been through our contractor safety orientation
- Work with engineering and purchasing to order parts as necessary (needs computer skills)
What You'll Need
- Minimum 10 years of related facility and heavy equipment maintenance experience
- Minimum 5 years of managing a maintenance department of 5 or more employees
- Ability to work with exposure to extreme temperatures, chemicals, dust fumes and mists, uneven surfaces, loud noise, elevated work areas, and confined spaces
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required
- Displays a positive, can-do attitude; maintains composure when faced with difficult situations
- Ability to work as a team player in a fast paced environment, with strong work ethic, attention to details and find root causes for issues
- Promotes collaboration and working as a member of the team
- Hands on maintenance, diagnostics, and repair abilities
- Strong computer skills required (good knowledge of Outlook, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- SAP experience is a plus
Your Education
- High School Diploma or GED required
