What You'll Do
  • Act as a buffer between special customer requirements and deliverable capabilities, e.g. unique bundle sizes, special labeling or markings, etc
  • Act as an intermediary between the customer and our internal support staff, working to identify actual customer "in house" due dates against our ability to procure and process material
  • Effectively communicate directly with customer regarding purchase order receipt, order entry, and sales acknowledgement
  • Identify material needs as early as possible through evaluation of order entry versus production plan, and communicate all exceptions to purchasing ASAP
  • Maintain sales file by customer, with all pertinent information: customer PO, our sales order, and related special instructions
  • Manage accounts that require a JIT delivery model. Work with purchasing to identify how much and what type of material is required to support a minimum balance at each respective facility
  • Manage all customer order changes, and communicate those changes as necessary to the support group
  • Prioritize due dates for customer shipments within stated lead times
  • Proactively manage customer accounts, including customer contact with pending delivery issues
  • Verify all sales order information is accurate on the sales order by comparing against original PO. Notify customer of any irregularities. Communicate with purchasing and production on any exception oriented items
  • Verify correct pricing is on sales order
What You'll Need
  • 2+ years in manufacturing environment preferred
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Critical thinking skills, i.e. understanding the sequence of events that must occur to satisfy all customers (internal and external)
  • Desire to assist both the customer and peers to meet and exceed quality service
  • High regard for attention to detail
  • Organizational agility in accomplishing tasks
  • Team oriented
  • Technical skills to understand and utilize a central ERP computer system
  • Tenacity to satisfy the needs of the customer
Your Education
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor or Associate Degree preferred
