What You'll Do

  • Performs temperature checks and advises of necessary adjustments required to obtain correct melting and tap temperatures
  • Assists crew in calculations, taking analysis, and temperature tests, making alloy and flux additions, using oxygen lance, charging, etc.
  • Visually observes furnace; power cables, electrodes and associated equipment and reports condition requiring maintenance or repair to melter
  • Directs cranes as necessary
  • Lead team in achieving department and company performance goals with emphasis on accuracy/quality and safety
  • Maintain a safety first attitude and hold the crew accountable for the same attitude and behavior

What You'll Need

  • Experience in the industrial manufacturing and/or process industry preferred
  • Actively participate and assist in leading team with CMC Safety Programs and proactively uphold the CMC Safety Culture (Take 2, Observation Cards and Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
  • Minimum 1 year leading teams preferred
  • Work on a rotating shift which may include weekends and holidays
  • Ability to work with exposure to extreme temperatures, chemicals, dust fumes and mists, uneven surfaces, loud noise, elevated work areas, and confined spaces

Your Education

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Associates Degree preferred
