What You'll Do

  • Verify purchase requisitions by understanding internal customer requirements, verifying specifications, and sourcing supplies and services
  • Act as a liaison between Procurement and Divisional Operational leadership by actively communicating supply chain initiatives
  • Evaluate and negotiate with potential suppliers based on their product quality, cost, delivery times, payment terms and customer service
  • Obtains requirements by verifying, preparing, and forwarding purchase orders to suppliers; monitors and expedites orders as needed
  • Ensure receipts are processed on timely basis; verify and authorize payment of invoices or coordinate return of defective/incorrect merchandise
  • Contribute to Supply Chain goals where applicable
  • Track and report key functional metrics tracking overall cost reduction. Benchmarks, KPIs, and other data analytics will be used in order to meet or exceed departmental cost benefit goals, objectives, and spend measurements
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities

What You'll Need

  • Ability to act as a team player and work closely with others
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal
  • Adapts to change in a positive and productive manner
  • Identifies/evaluates issues at hand to make accurate and timely decisions
  • A self-starter with the ability to take initiative and be proactive in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision
  • Strong communication Skills (verbal, written, listening) including ability to communicate effectively with all levels or organization
  • Possess drive and commitment including high energy level to get it done right the first time
  • Advanced Technology Skills (Microsoft Office, PowerBI, E-Procurement, SAP)

Your Education

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in area of specialty preferred
  • ISM or ASCM Certification preferred
