What You'll Do

Responsible for the design, construction, commissioning, and startup activities of capital projects
Mentor electrical engineers and contractors, and oversee technology development, including budgets and resource planning
Responsible for system upgrades in electrical power generation, distribution systems, low voltage, and electrical machinery
Ensure well hook-up and medium voltage electrical system, installation, start-up, and commissioning are conducted safely and efficiently
Work with the design teams to deliver seamless project construction work packages
Interact with technical engineers and non-technical operations personnel to integrate new technologies and update existing systems
Serve as the Electrical FE point contact for FE work within an assigned area
Assist in maintaining Variable Frequency Drives, Programmable Logic Controllers, Instrumentation, Process computers and related equipment

What You'll Need

Minimum 5 years of industrial electrical engineering experience
Experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment strongly preferred
1 - 2 years previous experience and/or knowledge with AutoCAD and reading blueprints
Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical prints and diagrams
Practical knowledge of mechanical applications, electrical applications, and common industrial processes
Proficient in MS Office programs – Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint
Strong background with technical writing to be able to write documents for operations and maintenance, explaining new or modified equipment
Experienced with field work and understanding the customer's needs
Ability to work within project scope and budget
Ability to lead a project from design through installation and start up, including associated operational and maintenance training
Strong communication skills required. Must read, speak and understand English language in verbal and written communication.

Your Education

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline
