What You'll Do

  • Work in various roles within operations team to learn equipment, processes and procedures from start to finish.
  • Monitor and analyze Melt Shop processes to identify opportunities for improvement in productivity, cost, and quality
  • Develop and implement process control strategies for steel melting and refining operations
  • Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to troubleshoot equipment and process issues
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards
  • Prepare technical reports and maintain accurate process documentation
  • Support capital projects and process upgrades
  • Train and mentor operators on process improvements and best practices
  • Participate in root cause analysis for process deviations and implement corrective actions

What You'll Need

  • 2+ years experience working with the Melt Shop process
  • Experienced with data softwares such as Power BI, SQL, and Python
  • Experience with Automation Design
  • SAP experience strongly preferred
  • Critical thinking, strong analytical and problem solving skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient in MS Office programs – Outlook, Word, Excel, Power point, and Microsoft Project
  • Shows a safety-first mindset; recommends improvements to make the workplace safer for self and others
  • Demonstrates dependability in attendance, work completion, and flexibility to meet business needs
  • Must be willing to learn and tackle new challenges
  • Is organized and shows attention to detail, with a "get it right the first time" mindset

Your Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Meteallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
