What You'll Do

  • Supervise a team of buyers, which includes planning, directing and coordinating the activities of buyers
  • Partner with internal customers to ensure requirements of purchased goods and services are met including price, quality reliability, delivery timelines and technical support
  • Contribute to Supply Chain goals including cost reduction targets and increased spend under management through the utilization of Preferred Supplier contracts and new sourcing opportunities
  • Act as a liaison between Procurement and Divisional Operational leadership by actively communicating supply chain initiatives
  • Track and report key functional metrics tracking overall cost reduction. Benchmarks, KPIs, and other data analytics will be used in order to meet or exceed departmental cost benefit goals, objectives, and spend measurements
  • Lead or actively participate in sourcing opportunities including RFx process and contract negotiations resulting in cost-benefit opportunities for supplies and services
  • Plan, communicate, and execute continuous improvement opportunities
  • Identifies/evaluates issues at hand to make accurate and timely decisions
  • Holds team members accountable for their behavior and performance using performance management and development planning to consistently improve performance
  • Perform special projects as assigned

What You'll Need

  • 7+ years procurement experience required
  • 2+ years management experience preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of purchasing and Source to Pay process
  • Strong knowledge of negotiations and execution of strategic sourcing steps
  • Ability to think critically to recognize problems, identify opportunities and suggest solutions for improvement
  • High level understanding of Procurement policies and procedures
  • Strong communication and presentation skills required (verbal, written, listening)
  • Advanced Technology Skills (Microsoft Office, PowerBI, E-Procurement, SAP)
  • Ability to travel as required

Your Education

  • Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred
  • ISM or ASCM Certification preferred
