Why This Job

Sell the products that help build America as an Outside Sales Representative who is responsible for maintaining existing relationships while building new relationships within the construction industry. This individual will be tasked with expanding our CRP business to gain market share throughout the Louisiana Area while being focused on selling construction-related consumable products while coordinating with the appropriate team members to successfully submit bid proposals and negotiate fair contracts with clients.

What You'll Do

  • Demonstrate all phases of the sales cycle, including prospecting, acquiring, identifying and qualifying customers
  • Organize joint sales calls with vendors and senior sales staff while generating new business and revenue through cold calling
  • Prepare sales orders, detailed quotes, and assist with weekly sales reports while maintaining an expense account/cash drawer
  • Meet or exceed monthly sales budget
  • Attend sales meetings, trainings, and other work-related gatherings

What You'll Need

  • Minimum 3 years sales experience preferred with knowledge of construction related products a plus
  • Proficient at gathering market data along with negotiating, closing, and follow-up of sales orders while multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
  • Decision making abilities with excellent customer service in verbal and written communication
  • Strong interpersonal skills - articulate communicator, adept in both electronic and verbal communications, professional appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to read blueprints and contracts
  • Proficient level of computer skills; MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet

Your Education

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is required
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Business preferred
