What You'll Do

  • Responsible for converting deign data into specific PT field placing drawings through the use of AutoCad
  • Determine the quantity, length, and layout of the PT cables from instructions and data provided by design drawings and project details
  • Ability to interpret data presented on design documents
  • Ability to read and understand design documents to establish PTI code shop drawings
  • Prepare detailed placing drawings for ironworkers at the job site to install PT cables within the framework
  • Establishes communication as necessary with in house project team to obtain missing information pertinent to the project
  • Provides accurate placement drawings to the architect/engineer for approval
  • Meet project deadlines
  • Work effectively in a team environment to promote productivity
  • Participate in planning meetings
  • Facilitate problem solving sessions to resolve issues
  • Ensures that work area is clean, secure, and well maintained
  • Understand and comply with applicable company policies (i.e. attendance, security, Code of Business Conduct & Ethics)
  • Complies with all applicable State/ Federal laws, regulations and policies (i.e. OSHA, HACCP, AIB, etc.)

What You'll Need

  • Ability to read and interpret contract documents
  • Must be able to perform basic mathematics, algebra, and geometry
  • Ability to use MS Word, MS Excel, Autodesk or Bentley CAD platforms
  • Ability to use and understand basic linear measurements (i.e. feet inches, decimals, and metric system)
  • Excellent customer relation skills
  • Basic knowledge of structural concrete members and building systems
  • Must be able to visualize three dimensionally (spatial visualization)
  • Able to recognize colors
  • Ability to use critical thinking skills to solve unique problems
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Demonstrate good mechanical aptitude
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English
  • Strong verbal and written skills

Your Education

  • Associate degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Technologies preferred
  • Satisfactory completion of computer aided drawing software program preferred
