What You'll Do

Repair engine failures, mechanical and electrical system malfunctions, body repair and replacing parts and components
Services machinery and mechanical equipment by completing repairs on engines, hydraulics systems, mobile and stationary equipment
Verifies vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives, and adjusting controls and systems
Operates and trobuleshoots issues with mobile equipment: loaders, forklifts, trucks and other equipment
Operate mobile equipment: loaders, forklifts, trucks and other equipment to troubleshoot
Operate a forklift, truck and trailer
Maintains vehicle appearance by cleaning, washing, and painting
Comply with DOT and state inspection requirements

What You'll Need

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail to find root cause for equipment failures
Ability to work in all weather conditions
Ability to work overtime as necessary outside of normally scheduled shift with little or no advance notification
Capable of performing a wide range of physical activities which include pulling, reaching, bending, climbing and kneeling
Experience with a wide variety of tools related to mechanics/hydraulics
Experience with basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, engines, mobile equipment, and vehicles (number of years up to location preference)
Experience with hydraulics/pneumatics, wiring, and working on heavy equipment
Fundamental knowledge of bearings, power transmissions equipment, electrical, hydraulic/pneumatics, lubrication, and fluid pumping systems
Minimum 2 years of in-trade industrial heavy equipment maintenance experience
Must be able to provide own tools
Must be able to stand for significant lengths of time in an industrial environment with exposure to all elements of weather
Possess proficient skills utilizing hand tools, power tools and precision tools for performing all facets of the repair and maintenance process
Possess specific knowledge of both diesel engines and hydraulic systems
Proficient in reading and understand technical documents, diagrams, and service manuals
Valid drivers license
Welding, cutting, and fabrication skills
